There is a bit of Imelda Marcos in many women. How many pairs of shoes do you own? None of us really needs more than one or two pairs of practical shoes. But when it comes to shoes, does the word need mean anything to you? Research indicates that the average American woman has twelve pairs of shoes in her closet, more than twice as many as the average man. However, there are many women who have over 100 pairs of shoes ... and counting.
